Good place for pictures. It depicts the conquest of Constantinople in 1453 complete with the original canons. The picture is three dimensional and covers 2350 square meters. The work depicts extremely minute details with 10000 human figures. This is one of 30 panoramic museums in the world. In the work there are no lines or borders. One is unable to... More

The museum contains a striking panoramic painting of the conquest of Constantinople by the Ottomans in 1453. You can get there from the Topkapi stop and the painting will certainly dazzle you.

Panorama 1453 museum is a wonderful authentication of a great battle in the Islamic history. It is a great and huge painting drawn on a dome, and shows the details of the battle. You can see the leader Mohammad AlFateh, the army, the wounded soldiers, the different leaders, the Constantine wall and much more. This battle is worth teaching at... More

Reading this you are probably checking whether it's worth it to go or not. The answer is definitely... GO! We found this place only because we got lost, and I wasn't even going to go in. But wow when I did go in it blew me away. Get the audio guide, and listen to all the information at the paintings... More

The Ottomans took Istanbul under siege in 1453 and the biggest battle took place between them and the Byzantines at this point near the Topkapi-Edirnekapi defence walls. This was called the Topaki Siege and the Ottoman ruler Sultan Mehmet II was titled Fatih or conqueror after this event. If you wish to experience the Fall of Constantinople you must visit... More

We visited Panorama 1453 after our visit to Yedikule Fortress was cancelled due to its continued closure. The was certainly a win for us. It appears that the majority of visitors to the museum appears to be Turkish visitors and school kids so it can be busy. The museum places the visitor in the middle of the siege of Constantinople... We stumbled across this museum by accident and are so glad we did! The panoramic display gives a life like (or near life like) effect of being immersed in the battle of the Fall of Constantinople. The audio guide is cheap (5 TL) and helpful if you don't want to bend down to read each English plaque (the gold ones... More

The final experience is stunning, with a 360 degree panorama painting of the battle of Mehmet II, when he conquered the city. And even at the exact place where it all happened in1453. Its a special feeling of almost being there as the battle is unfolding. Spend half an hour with the painting. If you are very interested in you... More
