We went this tour with a boat. We eat dinner and listened music. It was a lovely evening. You can see Bosporus in night and eat your meal with a wonderful landscape

Did the connection with info@istanbuldailycitytours.com and communicated with Alina. She prepared everything and the visit to Istanbul was magnificent! Our tour guide, Hakan, took us to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, and the magnificent GRAND BAZAAR!!! We skipped the Basilica Cistern because majority of the group wanted to shop in the grand bazaar!! Also, Hakan took us... More

We saw a lot with our private tour of Istanbul with Ephesus Shuttle company. Our guide was Cemil, a great guide who went everywhere with us, looked after all the fees and told us a lot about the places we visited. The palace was closed the day we visited so we opted for the cistern and the spice market instead.... More

Ephesus Shuttle is a very reliable tour company that we used with adults and kids in both Istanbul and Ephesus. The tour guides found us and kept us from being lost! They were knowledgeable and spoke great English. I would have liked them to stay with us a bit more in the Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar. Perhaps I just... More

Staying in Uskudar

Neighbourhood Profile
Uskudar
Home to more than half a million residents, Uskudar on the Asian side of the Bosphorus is one of Istanbul’s most densely populated neighbourhoods. Once a Greek colony, later a haven for people from across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, this gateway to Asia has been an active and diverse hub for eons. Still, visitors to Uskudar are often more overcome by its myriad treasures than by its many thousand residents. And with fairytale settings such as the “Maiden’s Tower” as well as grand examples of Ottoman Era architecture, plenty of parks, a gorgeous and lengthy coastline, and some of Turkey’s holiest sites, there’s no end to the sightseeing possibilities. Easily reached from the city’s European shores via a steady network of ferries, time spent in Uskudar reveals a “real life” Istanbul that many who experience find extremely fascinating.
