I have taken guests to Orient House many times over the years and all have enjoyed the experience. Food is pretty average but the drinks keep coming and by the end of the night everyone is usually pretty happy,

The place is kind of run down - it's a hostel. But there are nice hostels and not nice hostels. This one was a real happening scene which meant that sleep was a tough commodity to come by, especially on the weekend. The bathrooms were okay but with so many people sharing them - it was tough - only two... More

This terrible and expensive dinner cruise represents 4 hours of my life that my family and I will never get back! Yuck, yuck, yuck. The weather was terrible (which is not the fault of the company) but as a result there were 300 people packed into a space meant to hold 1/2 that number. We were packed like sardines in... More

We went to this dinner show establishment and generally enjoyed ourselves. The food was acceptable (you don't go these places for great dining) and the show excellent. The only negative was a touch of anti-americanism by the entertainment staff who blatantly ignored the Americans in the house. Somewhat off putting

The Orient House offers a dinner and show experience in Istanbul. Very touristy! It is immediately adjacent to the President Hotel, which we stayed in, so we gave it a try. Most of the clientele are bussed in from various hotels and tour groups so seating is reserved accordingly. As we were only a party of two, we were seated... More

If you're easily amused and like kitschy shows, by all means go ahead. The dancing was the only part people actually enjoyed. The various dancers are talented and entertaining. Their interactions with individuals in the crowd provided many amusing moments. The music is mostly loud, blaring beats or Lebanese/Arabic pop music. The food was incredibly simple and seriously overpriced! Any... More

My husband and I spend a wonderful night at Orient house. We would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Istanbul and would like to see a show. There were excellent belly dancers, traditional dances as well as songs from every country that had a representative in the restaurant. The food is good, but you don't go there to eat,... More

As for an international tourist, I am lucky having a wonderful night in Oriental House with good food and a series of amazing dance performance in 2006, summer time. They offer a variety of "cultural dance" there, including national dance, local folk dance, religious ceremonious dance, sufi swirling, and of course, belly dance show. Besides, there is also interesting variety... More
