This museum has everything an air force museum needs. It has plenty of jets on stands, displays, and a lot of phantom jets, which are still being used by Turkey. Its a good visit for kids and plane curious tourists.

Very interesting place if you are interested in aviation like me. Its not a big place and can be visited on the way to visit atatürk airport for example.

A lot of money has recently been spent here moving Aircraft around so that Photos can now be taken without any overlapping. Although I am British I have to award the best presented aircraft to the Viscount whereas the Caravelle is showing a lot of lot of wear. The Aircraft inside are displayed tightly together & not in good lighting,... More

I visited the museum on a pleasant afternoon in March. It appears to be run by the Air Force, as personnel (including an armed sentry?) were in evidence. People in this country are very pleasant and I appreciate it is my failing I cannot speak the language, but there was no effort made by the designers to ensure the non-Turkish-speaking... More

I first visited the museum back in Oct'2010; unfortunately at that time there was an ongoing restoration and didn't manage to get in. There was no indication on the museum's web site (it is in Turkish anyway) and the Tourist Information Office downtown informed us that it was business as usual. Anyway, almost 4 years after this unfortunate incident I... More

Where to start? Like two earlier reviewers, I visited on a religious holiday and in the rain. Neither affected my visit, though blue skies for the photos would have been good. The aircraft are superb and well preserved, hence the four star review. Yes, they are too close together for much more than "record" photographs but I have seen much... More

A fantastic display of Turkish Air Force aircraft including F-16, all in excellent condition. Exhibits are slightly too close together for easy photography - wide angle recommended. Inside are a limited number of older exhibits and an impressive model collection which is well worth a look in itself. I visited on a 'public holiday' - Sugar Feast or Şeker Bayramı... More
