The house of the famous Pierre Loti, on a very nice hill, it can be reach by teleferic or by car, the view is amazing but the coffee shop and the other small shops are very expensive (unreasonable)

Nothing special. The hill has a beautiful view, which is just as good as the view you can enjoy from many other hills and parks scattered around the city

Pierre Loti was a French naval officer and orientalist who lent his name to a rather modest cafe. The cafe is not spectacular, but the view over the Golden Horn is. It;s a favourite day out for the people of Istanbul. It's a bit out of the way. It would be a half-day trip. You can also take the cable... More

Pierre Loti perches in a cemetery (really) and has a great view of Istanbul. Have a real Turkish coffee and venture inside and watch them make it in an old open fire in the classic copper pot. Great experience.

PierreLoti where you have an amazing view of Haliç and the Eyup area lies beneath you, looks surreal. We took the minivan next to the cable cars near Eyup upto PierreLoti as the queue was long with local and foreign tourists. The van cost 3₺ per person. We then took the cable car back down which cost us 2.3₺ on... More

You can get a remarkable 180 degrees view of Istanbul from the Pierre Loti Hill. One is impressed with the size of the city and the vistas with the river and settlements on both sides. A ropeway takes you down to the river from the heights in minutes.

Once you get there, and inhale that marvelous panoramic views of the city and the golden horn, you start seeing Istanbul with your heart. And if you had the chance to sit and sip a cup of turkish tea from above, do it with "simit" in hand.. you'll love it!

You can use your metro card to take the cable car to go to the top! From there you've an amazing view over Istanbul. There are also lots of cafes and restaurant where you can eat or drink something and enjoy the view. I can imagine it to be very crowded in summer and spring.... Unfortunately the weather wasn't nice... More
