After arriving nearly 2 hours late to fetch us (we were long gone) they rebooked us for another evening. The sum total of the evening was poor quality food, patchy entertainment awful organisation. In all, an absolute waste of bother time and money.

My only remark was too long stoppage in anadolu at asian side. After you climb to fortress and take a lunch you have too wait additional 1,5 hours for boat to return.... More

Very well organised & as we had the dinner gold cruise there were quite a few people on the boat but it didn't seem crowded, we had a very good group of people on our table. There was a good selection of food to suit all tastes, with quite a few waiters/waitresses around to get drinks.

We joined the locals on the boat along the strait from the Golden Horn along the Bophorus out to the black sea. Dropped off for lunch and return trip. Last stop the best. 25 TL for return trip. Easy to find just get the tram from Sultanahmet to Eminou.

We took a 3-hr cruise booked by our hotel with a company called "Bosphorus Line" for 65 euros per person to include hotel pick up at aroud 8 pm, full dinner course, cruise and entertainment until midnight. The cruise itself along the strait was absolutely worth the time with fantastic views of the landmarks. But the service was so dissapointing.... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
