Taking a rest on the wooden bench, reading a book, chilling near the fountain or having a picnic on the green grass - all is a great pleasure here. Especially during the day heat.

I entered this park without much knowledge about it after visiting the archeological museum. It is a rather large park with many big trees. There are some Byzantine ruines which are not known much. It is suitable for rest when you are tired after shight-seeing.

Gulhane Park is situated close to Topkapi Palace and alongside Sultan Ahmet Tram Services. The area has many Restaurants.

Enjoyable for people of all ages. Excellent choice, if you are with family and kids. The great Topkapi palace museum is adjacent, so you can satisfy your historical appetite there.

You may just miss if if you dont explore Sultanahmet walking. Just keep walking through the Topkapi palace grounds and you will get there. Nice little spot for walks, family picnics, photo ops and some quiet.

That's all probably a matter of taste but at that time of year and a few weeks before, there are beautiful flower displays everywhere, from the exit of the airport. Very pretty.

Tulips typically bloom in March or April depending on the weather. There's a festival in Istanbul in April for the tulips. You won't see any in June; way too late for them. What you will see, however, are beautiful roses... More

Yes,it's warming up now in Turkey and there are lots of shade because of the huge trees.
