A lovely green space to rest after visiting Archaeological Museum or Topkapi . Storks and green parrots fly overhead and families enjoy the pleasant gardens .

Gulhane Park = wonderful place in the historic area of Istanbul! This park is located near Topkapi Palace and it is amazing! I love the flowers, the green grass and the beautiful fountains!

I found this park after coming out of the Topkapi palace, there are tulips every where decorate floral displays, lots of families out and about. Lovely place for a stroll. Nice place for a picnic and to spend time to relax.

That's all probably a matter of taste but at that time of year and a few weeks before, there are beautiful flower displays everywhere, from the exit of the airport. Very pretty.

Tulips typically bloom in March or April depending on the weather. There's a festival in Istanbul in April for the tulips. You won't see any in June; way too late for them. What you will see, however, are beautiful roses... More

Yes,it's warming up now in Turkey and there are lots of shade because of the huge trees.
