An excellent find for all ages! The history of the Israeli Railway with cards you can go into; plenty cars also for children to play. We spent over 3 1/2 hours there and we came without our grandchildren.

I am part of a program that pairs students up with new immigrants here in Israel. It was coming up to Pesach (Passover) and I was asked by the mother of the boys I work with to get them out the house. I had been pleasantly surprised by the museum the first time I went and they were looking for... More

One can say it's mainly a playground for railroad scrap freaks of all ages, but also people who are into history facts and artifacts would find this little gem an interesting place to spend a few hours. Telling the story of the development of the railroad in Palestine and Israel from the time of the Ottman regime onwards, including routes... More

We visited the museum during Passover holidays, with 4-8 years boys and girls. I was surprised that there were only few visitors, since we (children and adults), enjoyed the visit very much. My only drawback was the complicated drive to the parking lot.

I had been eager to take my children for years, and ended up taking two grandchildren instead. And they were very happy, describing it as the highlight of their vacation day. There are a number of old locomotives, as well as aristocratic passenger cars. These are open for entry and exploring... and for pretend play. There are also a good... More

My boys 7 and 9 had such a good time, they spent about 3 hours here, riding the trains and looking around. The people in admissions, try to find you the cheapest price to pay to enter, and it is really entertaining for the kids. It is accessible by public transport, with a quick walk from the bus stop.

Lovely museum with some great history and trains and relics from well before pre State Israel up until the modern time. Great for the train enthusiast and just for fun with kids. A great upside is that it is open from 08:00 so can easily be combined with other actvities for the day if you are an early riser!!!
