Besides the history and the significance in region, the monastery is a beautiful place to observe. The lighthouse is a good look out point.

You can see the whole bay of Haifa up here. You can get up (and down), by the cable car (25NIS for one way, or 35NIS for up and down) and walk through the Stella Maris missionary. Nearby there is a small path who takes...More

The place itself is amazing for a wonderful view of the city of Haifa and the sea, and there are also nice restaurants there. Also where Christians believe that St Elijah goes to haven

There's a cable car in the place where I can go down to the beach. The place itself is amazing for a wonderful view of the city of Haifa and the sea, and there are also nice restaurants there

Carnelians monastery has extraordinary, and very beautiful church, on place where Christians believe that St Eliah goes to haven. Lighthouse has extraordinary view on Haifa bay, but also on west haifa beaches

Very intresting site. Where Carmel mount breaks into the sea. Beautiful panorama. Interesting Carmelie monastery. Cable car to the beach (also a hiking trail downhill). Lighthouse. Radar. Marine base.

The windswept round chapel is a 10 minute trek-walk along a rocky path down the wadi, but the views from it are well worth the effort, beware of slippery rocks. Haifa has some great wadi trails for trek enthiusiasts, this is not one of them...More

If on a pilgrimage a visit here is a must. It is very well kept by the Carmelites. And the view of Haifa is spectacular.
