Haifa is a major port, it is also the third largest city in Israel. Haifa is a container port, it also serves both cargo and passenger ships. Haifa is Israel's third biggest port; it is a deepwater port The Ba'hai faith has its world center her; the Ba'hai hanging gardens are beautiful. Although Haifa has acted as a port in the eastern Mediterranean for thousands of years, it only flourished during the British Mandate.

Haifa is on the slopes of Mount Carmel. It is a unique Israeli city, resembling San Francisco. There are hill roads, modern buildings with youthful and cosmopolitan inhabitants. It has a seaport for containers and cruise ships. The iconic Bahai Gardens, a German colony, prestige universities, and music festivals are in here. Liberalism and cultural tolerance are visible. Our lunch is at a row of restaurants overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Behind modernity, Haifa has a history spanning over 3000 years. It sat on the crossfires of warring ancient empires. A total of 11 colliding powers had fought, invaded, and ruled here. They were from the Assyrians to the last Ottomans. Besides crossfires, it was also hit because of its crossroad location.

This was a mess, not organized, not convenient, and exhausting to come and go. RCL cruise line needs to find a better route that avoids this terrible port. We were very disappointed and sets a bad tone for any cruise.

The shows were tremendous and professional. The staff was wonderful. AND the tremendous array of food was amazing.
The lack of chocolate ice cream and chocolate cakes were the only thing missing for me.

A very nice city lies in between green mountain and the sea. Very clean with attractive houses. Very wonderful huge park. Magnificent profit ileia church. 3 hours by bus from our stay at Jerusalem. By the way our guide war lives in this city and he was a very excellent and professional one.

We docked in Haifa Port on a recent cruise holiday. The port area was clean and well maintained, and very close to the city. Although we traveled onto Jerusalem for the day, some people we met spent the day in Haifa, visiting the Baha Gardens and other attractions, and were very impressed.

Very convenient to all points of interest. Walking distance to BaHai garden and the German colony area. Though going to Stella Maris Church would be a bit of a walk uphill. Elijah's cave likewise is a bit of a distance. But worth a while to see them. The port is also near the train station going to Ben Gurion airport and very conveniently has a transfer train direct line to Jerusalem. It will take an hour and half to arrive in Jerusalem, but worth it.

Our cruise ship docked here over night so got to see Haifa on the second day. We walked from the port to town and then up the hill to the shrine and gardens then walked back via the shops and restaurants. The port is well organised for cruise ship immigration, passport and immigration cards checked several times before you get through.

The night and restaurant life in Haifa's port area has been developing well over the last few years and is worth a visit. From the HaNemal St. restaurants to the Stella Maris area overlooking the port are really enjoyable areas for both tourists and area residents to visit.

Is there an ATM or bureau de change in the cruise terminal?
האם יש אפשרות לבקר עם ילדים לראות את הפריקה והטעינה של האוניות או שזה סגור למבקרים
אם כן מה הכתובת בוויז?

Guided tours Israel are an excellent company who will pick you up from your cruise ship and organise a tour to suit your requirements. They are excellent value for money and reliable. If you need to cancel at any time then a full refund will be made.

Der Hafen an sich ist nichts Besonderes; meine Bewertung habe ich auf das Ambiente drumherum bezogen, weil es dort einige sehr nette Lokal gibt.
