Much of the Bible was written here, where kings and prophets walked. During your visit you will see walls and towers that protected the city from its enemies and discover its water systems.

The City of David National Park is a really inexpensive, fun activity to do in Jerusalem. It's located just a short walk outside of Western Wall, and takes about an hour and a half to see everything. Make sure to bring shorts (or a skirt...More

On approaching the city of David you can only be impressed with its walls, towers and its reach history. The entrance fee was 70 sheckle each and it was well worth a visit.

One could write a book on this attraction; come to think of it, books have been written about the City of David. Remains of monumental buildings, water shafts, tunnels, springs and water channels - and everything is underground. For those of us from North America...More

Be sure to take the tour and go to the very top. The views of not only the Old City of Jerusalem, but also the modern city is fantastic.

Located south of the Old City wall, much progress has been made in excavating the remains of King David's palace and area adjacent to the palace. Discovered artifacts from the site include seals from a scribe mentioned in Jeremiah and Jewish and Babylonian arrowheads.
