Truly a moving and deeply saddening place, yet so necessary for understanding Israel and Judaism in today's world.

Experienced this and my worldview shifted. It is a completely thorough presentation, including the memorial to the over one million children killed during the Holocaust. Learned a lot during presentations.

We spent 6 hours in the exhibits, listening to just abut the entire audio guide. While not everyone will want to dedicate that amount of time, just walking through will not do this topic justice. Get the audio guide. Aside from that, there are no...More

I have been to 5 Holocaust museums. This is by far the largest and most elaborate. The grounds are phenomenal and the incorporation of survivor testimonials in every exhibit is unique and powerful. However, it is not as cohesive in guiding the visitor through the...More

The pavilions are designed to evoke maximal emotional response. Even if your background is far removed from the atrocities of WWII and Europe, one still feels the scale of the horrors attested to by Yad Vashem. Along with the barbaric horrors displayed, there is also...More

Excellent design very close to what we saw in Auschwitz. The displays have all signs in English. It is still hard to believe this could happen, but it did. The inside and the grounds are beautifully done.

The exhibits and the testimonials from countless witnesses on video with footage taken in the death camps, strikes at the heart relentlessly. One is shocked into numbness at the sight and stories of man's cruelty to man.The museum is laid out perfectly and when one...More

This has even the train line and carriage where the Jews were sent to their death. It has so much history and is so big but sadly no photos are allowed even though I managed to sneak one or tow before getting told off. It...More

The design of the facility is remarkable. The story told is sobering and a reminder of what people can do to each other. I have been to other holocaust museums but this one was very different
