This was not a museum in the usual sense of the word, but a huge park complex with many different buildings each with a different emphasis. It was fascinating, but it should be borne min mind that it needs a lot of time to see it all.

The Eretz Israel museum is actually at least ten different buildings on many beautiful acres. All the buildings are devoted to an aspect of Israeli history. I loved the Rothschild exhibit which illustrated how Rothschild was interest in and poured resources into the then developing Israel. I wish I had had more time but did get to see the reconstructed... More

We went on a Friday (which isnt a good idea). There are some interesting exhibits and other that are just boring. Each topic is in a separate building. Displays have explanations in Hebrew and English. There are some open air excavations as well. Staff is helpful up until about a half hour before closing. At that time they glare at... More

Not every exhibit was a homerun - loved the glass exhibit and the paper exhibit. Multiple buildings but very interesting and worth it. Not mobbed even though we were there mid Passover.

I took my daughter and two grandchildren there yesterday, specifically to see the paper exhibition and the Planetarium, which was renovated not long ago. Both exhibits had the children awe struck (look what people can do with paper) and thrilled (did we really take off into outer space?). The museum has informative permanent exhibitions on local subjects and hosts several... More

the eretz israel museum is actually a collection of exhibits from many areas of history and culture in israel. we enjoyed the diversity and the fact that each exhibit can be seen in one half to three quarters of an hour depending on how much the topic interested us. we liked the fact that you walk outside from one exhibit... A number of good exhibitions. Photography, glass, numismatics and much more. Big problem in winter, you must go-out go-in from every space to open space, no roof or shelter from the weather.

While combining some authentic local archaeology and several exhibitions telling the history of the area across centuries it is not rich with attractions and at a cost of 52 (~13$) shekels a person (although kids under 18 are free) I think you can find better museums. There is also a planetarium inside but it is with extra cost (32 shekels... More

There is no getting away from the fact that this is very 'tired'. It feels as if it has been somewhat forgotten. However I still give it four stars since it was very interesting. A good option for a poorer weather day. Ranged over various different buildings, there is an extensive collection of artefacts and an ancient settlement. Again, it... More
