Enjoyed the area during the night, great for dining out at one of the many restaurants close by.
With the lights at night port area looks really good and has a great vibe to it, during day not so much.
Certainly one of the main things to do in Tel Aviv.

One the favourite places in Northern Tel Aviv. The view, the designs, the people and of course the Market - where you get the best herring sandwiches, home cooked spaghetti & raviolli and burgers/sandwiches!

A wonderful area with restaurants, cafes and shops of many different types from boutiques to the flea market. The vibe is laid back and friendly with everyone of all backgrounds getting on well. The seafront is a short walk away and you can then go as far as you want watching the surfers or the volleyball players and hearing the waves crash on the shore. Modern Tel Aviv is easily accessible and a trip to Carmel market is a must, but remember to haggle!

In the old days, Jaffa was the port for Tel Aviv, or did Tel Aviv evolve from Jaffa?. These days, the old port area is a marvelous place to wander around and take in the sights. It's also a great place to get something to eat.

Amazing views of the ocean, many beautiful spots to sit and relax, many restaurants and shops. There are also spaces to ride the scooters, bikes or scateboards

It was the end of our walk, old building renovated, restaurants and shops, nice park near by for young children...there is a wooden sidewalk at that point ( so relaxing for our legs....better than stone)

Sorry, not native to Israel 😅but I travel here very often for business. I am actually here now. It can be cold and rainy in February with temperatures in the 45-65F range. Safety is a very personal issue. I can tell you that I feel fine here but it may be different for you. I would ask your embassy for their recommendation.
