I live in Duraz, so thought I'd better take a look. It didn't take long. Small archaeological site, just as you can see in the Trip Advisor photos of others. Currently, unless your CPR shows you are a resident of Duraz, you may have access...More

Ad-Diraz Temple is located just off the highway in Budaiyya. There isn't much to see and the place is difficult to find. Avoid.

This is the place to see the ruins of old arab township. The place is far from the city of Manama. Needs more than 3 hours.

It is hard to get to this place and there are often fights taking place between the locals and the police. It is run down and not much to see. Bahrain doesn't take much pride in it's history so you will be disappointed.

This is a temple just off Budaiya Highway, close to Alosra supermarket. It is a Dilmun era temple that has been restored and looked after. The temple rings are very small and you cannot gain access to them , but you can view them through...More

It is right in the heart of the Shi'a opposition area. The inhabitants are so generous and helpful, even to the Americans like me whom many see as sharing the blame in the Sunni government crackdown. The area is off limits to most official foreigners,...More
