Run down and dirty in (many) parts, the area is full of life at all hours. Lots of restaurants and bars, not to mention boutiques. Worth a walk, worth some people watching.

Not really worth a visit. Just a normal street with shopping, lot of traffic and noise. There are nicer places in this city.

Hamra street had its haydays but that was decades ago. Right now it’s just a stinky jungle with electricity cable running all over the place, sewage leaking and smelling all over, and so much ugly clutter. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about this street.
