Great place to walk and shop especially in the evening. So many restaurants and cafés. So many universities including the American University of Beirut. I hate to bargain, but you must especially with tourists.

The AUB is in this area and there are many students. It is always busy and there is plenty to do. It is a fun place to spend an afternoon having food, getting drinks or smoking shisha.

best open mall in Lebanon,prices are somewhat high,go to side street shops for a bargain,many cafe's,sandwitch places,and hotels everywhere,and many shoppers,few beggers along the way whoever, stay clear,say No.It is a good place to spend few hours a day,especially after sunset.

It is the main commercial shopping street and the most known in Middle East, full of shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Great street for shopping and coffee shops. Don't forget to Eat at Barbar :-)
