The building is just awe inspiring, I couldn't stop taking photos! The artwork spans across approximately 1400 years, and across a number of countries - it was interesting to learn that Islamic Artwork is usually "things" as opposed to Western artwork on canvas or through sculpture.

What splendid architecture! This place is so beautiful, very well done. I am not sure who is the architecture but, as I have heard some famous old architecture and the entrance itself is so beautiful. Once you reach the museum it gives you a splendid view of the Doha skyline. Perfect place to take snaps. and then inside the kind... More

I spent a pleasurable hour and half ( not long enough ) wondering through this museum. It has an amazing collection of pieces from ancient quran's to beautiful pieces of jewellery. I could have spend so much longer here at present they are hosting a Mohamad Ali exhibt ..... make sure you don't rush your visit here

This jaw-dropping architecture houses a very large collection of Islamic art. Each item is beautifully displayed in the glass case. Whether or to you are an art lover, I guess it is worth visiting here. As it is so huge, you just need to plan which floors to see, or need to take time to see all. It is a... More

Simply a must visit when in Doha. The museum has free entry for all visits. It has a cafeteria inside as well as a fine dining restaurant. I highly recommend visiting it.

I thoroughly loved the Museum of Islamic Art. Any trip to Doha should include a stop here. The building itself is artwork and architecturally pleasing. The museum is free and laid out so you can walk through the exhibits easily. There were many artifacts but I never felt overwhelmed as everything was displayed well. The museum had an exhibit on... Showcased artefacts dating all the way back to the 7th century from the middle east, china and india. There were three levels of permanent exhibitions and the exhibitions were well presented. There was an underground tunnel leading from Souk Waqif to the corniche where one needs to walk another 15 mins to reach the Museum.

I was expecting to be bored but if you only see one museum your entire life, then make it this one. The grounds, the scenic views, the interior and exterior design and the exhibits are just must see. they even provide free high speed wifi and this place has no entrance fee either.
