- markitikiOrlando, Florida694 contributionsJust okThis village is built up as THE thing to see. As previous reviews, I found the village to be clean but not much going on during the day. Not much help in terms of guidance or what you're actually looking at. Beach is cool, but I don't know if I'd make the hike out here just for the beach. I would suggest looking into guided tours, but was not willing to commit the time myself. The golf carts that others mention are a nuisance!Visited December 2022Written 10 December 2022

- Deanosaur89Edmonton, Canada2,050 contributionsPleasant Visits Day or NightWe love walking around and eating out at Katara Cultural Village. We find ourselves coming here frequently to meet friends or special events. The winter is the best time to go but during the warmer months it is still nice with many air conditioned areas. The promenade is nice to walk around and it is worthwhile to look at the events board to see upcoming activities in the area. Quite a few of the shops and exhibits are free to enter but make sure you ask first. Getting there is easy with the Katara metro station that has an entrance by Galeries Lafayette and it is between The Pearl and West Bay on the sea front. It can get windy at night so you may want to bring a sweater at night in the cooler months. Covering up your shoulders and knees feels appropriate in this area because many Qataris and Arabic people will wear their formal wear in the area. Cars and golf carts have the right away so be careful when walking around.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 February 2023

- Bozeman-DublinTrim, Ireland8,860 contributionsLovely Place, Really Well DesignedKatara is well worth a visit. Its a little bit "too perfect" to be authentic but nonetheless they've done a lovely job with the place making it into a Skansen-style outdoor museum, if you get me? The birdhouses are amazing. There's a beatiful Mosque that's well worth a visit and the crowning jewel in many ways, the huge amphitheatre, is just stunning. The acoustics are incredible. It's on the metro line, well worth a visit.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 9 November 2023
- KomatorBarcelona, Spain870 contributionsInterestingWe made a stop at the Katara Cultural Village during the Discover Qatar tour. It's a cultural 'city' with some shops, an amphitheater where concerts are held, and restaurants. In my opinion, it still looks too modern, lacking people and a lively atmosphere, but it has its charm. I suppose when temperatures drop, it becomes a pleasant place to stroll with some life.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 November 2023

Also located here are 2 mosques that tourists can visit, restaurants, mall, etc. What attracted me here are some new buildings that seemed to look like European historical buildings. Note that there are free electric cars that one can ride to the Gree Moque.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 13 November 2023

Had private and expensive tour organised with Discover Qatar. Would not use them again. Meeting point is not signposted and people there and taxi driver also didn’t know it. So no tour guide but I did it on my own and thoroughly enjoyed discovering it by myself. Had lovely lunch at the seafood restaurant by the sea which wasn’t in the your anyway. Lovely village to explore. I travelled to and from by taxi from Doha.

It's so beautiful. It's a village every house is covering an exhibition or an activity, you can find stores and restaurants. You can ask for a free round car 🚗 the driver will explain to you everything before dropping off to gallery Lafayette .

Was very quiet, given it was August it is no surprise, but was a nice walk and good choice of restaurants (not all open though) and lots of free attractions. Also on the corniche.

Hi, Kia_Si. What would you like to know about this attraction?
Yes, Kitara Cultural Village is a ghost town during Ramadan. I was the only visitor in the morning and have difficulty getting a cab out of it since no one came in. Left stranded and end up walking out 1.5km at 45 degrees Celsius without water to Inter Continental Hotel. Better leave this place out during Ramandan.

Sorry to hear that but in Ramdan all the restaurants are closed during the day and every one knows that.
But katara has alot of offices, institutions and centers.
If you go inside any of the buildings you will find many people who will help you because of course no one will be out door in hot weather and fasting!
Also there is katara gym which im a member in it, and its open during the day in ramadan!
So i think you just wanna complain 🤫
