    Worth the price of admission!
We visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi during a long layover. To explore the exhibits thoroughly, you probably need 2-3 hours. We got there near closing time, so we had to make do with under an hour. It was still worth it! The architecture of the complex is novel and beautiful, and each gallery has at least a couple of very notable pieces. I love the way the museum puts similar pieces from around the world side by side. Note: we found taxi prices to be much cheaper than Uber, and there’s a taxi stand at the Louvre where it was easy yo get a ride to the airport even after the museum closed.
Hello Josh, thank you for your detailed review! We are glad that you enjoyed your visit to our museum and we hope to see you again! Have a nice day.

    The Louvre Abu Dhabi
The architecture and design of this Louvre is simple, elegant and beautiful. All the pieces inside are worth a view and read; educational and thought provoking. Outside, enjoy the amazing view of the water and admire the detail of this building. Must do!

An incredible building with huge potential to rival, in due time, old established museums. Very interesting exhibits formulated in an evolution process. Spacious and easy to follow with good descriptions of exhibits.

Top 10 things to do in Abu Dhabi
If you’re in Abu Dhabi, you MUST visit Louvre. It is inspired from Louvre Museum in Paris and consists of some of the rarest paintings and art pieces of all time. I found the antique jewellery collection to be BREATHTAKING! There are separate rooms based on different themes. Extremely picturesque.

    Such a wow
First of all, it has a unique architecture, the combination with water and attractive roof design is really unique. The objects inside the museum are attractive, although there was no necessary coherence and order in the arrangement between civilizations, from Egypt to Iran, Greece and... For us with a 7-year-old son, the existence of the children's museum was very interesting and helped us to spend more time in the museum. And finally, we used the special shuttle from Dubai to go and back to the museum, it was convenient and free, although it may take a relatively long time, but it was worth it.

    Must do
Absolutely amazing museum. The flow of the building and exhibition is exemplary. Loved the building. The kids space exhibition is very interactive. Liked the turtle sanctuary on the roof. My only criticism would be they ask you to place bags in cloak room but don’t adhere to the policy. The way the art and history interact and are displayed is very dynamic

    Louvre visit
A nice blend of art and antiquities. If you ever find yourself in Abu Dhabi it is 100% worth a visit. Plan for about 3 hours to see and read everything that the Louvre has to offer. Very affordable as well.

A great place with amazing artifacts, statues etc
A lovely venue with amazing artifacts AED63 entry, can't take water or back packs in. There are lockers there. Only thing is that there doesn't seem to be a flow when walking, no signs to direct you. A great few hours out and lovely cafe with food and cocktails

Exceeded my expectations. Wonderful exhibitions representing a truly global feel for ancient civilizations and art. Free easy parking, nice gift shop, friendly staff and just the right amount of security. Enjoyed from 9:50 to 1pm. Interior courtyard architecture for photography is truly fantastic. Definitely recommend.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is part of the project "cultural development on Saadiyat Island"; it currently is surrounded by a forest of cranes and building sites - so watch this space and come back in 10 years. With the amount of money that UAE has made available for "world class cultural assets", this may become a destination for art lovers.
The entrance to the Louvre is quite unassuming, but don't let this fool you. It is the largest museum in the Arabian peninsula with over 8,000m2 galleries and thousands of artifacts. The rooms are spacious and the displays allow close observation. There is a vast array of different time eras and cultures - sometimes they are juxtaposed together to illustrate a theme, which is interesting.
The architectural features are striking once you exit the indoors exhibition and move under the "leaves of light" canopy overlooking the water.
Do yourself a favor : give Ferrari World a miss and spend your valuable time in The Louvre instead !

One of the „must be places“ in Abu Dhabi. The unique location by the sea and the fantastic architectural implementation of the Louver Abu Dhabi are unique. It offers attractive exhibitions of international format and one of the largest art collections in the Arab world, from the Middle Ages to the present.

The louvre in Abu Dhabi is very interesting. Sadly, the day we were there some of it was closed to do weather. One of the most amazing things about the facility is the roof. You have to see it to understand.
As an aside, when we left Abu Dhabi, we were caught in the worst storm in the UAE in 150 years. Crazy.

Kudos to the architects of this museum, who incorporated both indoor and outdoor (heavily shaded) space and both land and sea. I especially liked being able to kayak inside the Louvre!

The perfect size for a museum with a very well thought out exhibition. The building itself is very peaceful, if you can describe a building as being peaceful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, being a resident of Dubai for some time now, I can say that Abu Dhabi tourism is growing really strongly. It is a modern museum with 12 areas displaying many historical artifacts and art from various civilizations. A must see in Abu Dhabi.

Positives:
- awesome building, come just for the interesting architecture alone
- wide range of artefacts and pieces, you could spend hours or do a quick tour round and still see lots
- areas of great serenity beyond the crowds, if you seek them out
- plenty of amenities - little cafe stalls, restaurants, terraces etc.

Negatives:
- other tourists very rude with their photography - I heard loud sighs, tuts, and even a "hello, move" for daring to stand in front of artwork in a museum when tourists wanted to have their photo taken in front of the piece. Can the security keep a better eye on this? Nothing wrong with a quick photo, but demanding that paying customers enjoying the art move out of the way for a photo of someone to be taken seems insane
- rudeness from other tourists to the staff who were just trying to do their job - made the experience unpleasant

Went to Louvre Abu Dhabi to see what’s in store. I was amazed of the pieces in Display. from historical artifacts/ paintings / sculptures. The architecture is amazing and reflective of a distinct Arabic architecture (cupola). must See for yourself. worth it.
