Although their website says this place can still be accessed during renovations, it is CLOSED. I rang them, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and the City Council and not one organization knew if it was open or not.

Very disappointing, couldn’t get to any of the fort as it is covered with scaffolding and builders. Museum its self is an interesting building covered in straw matting, but very limited exhibitions and not enough to tell you about the place

... and therefore the fort is not visible. The only thing you can visit at the moment is the little museum, which is quite interesting. But you can't see anything from the fort, not even from the outside.

Tell you about history of Abu Dhabi right from 17th century to the future (shown in an interesting way using latest technologies). FREE to attend and has good facilities.

Excellent to see for ourselves the old fort, home to the original fathers of Abu Dhabi, The culture centre adjacent to it is very interesting and documents the history of modern-day Abu Dhabi brilliantly.

I would recommend to visitors if you want to learn the history of Abu Dhabi. The presentation is good designed and displayed. There are ancient goods and also modern designed exhibitions.

I would recommend to visitors to Abu Dhabi and the UAE to visit Qasr Al Hosn for a better insight of the local culture. Service staff very friendly and lots of interesting things to see.

This is a new museum in the original Fort of the ruling family. It tells the story and history of the development of Abu Dhabi and it's people. Very interesting location, artefacts and modern depictions using holograms etc, Well worth seeing

Not open to the public apart from on the festival days. Be aware that the festival and the Qasr you visit there was built in the 1980s. The real one is a royal palace and I wouldnt try and get in there!!!
