Although I didn't have a library card (!) this is a beautiful place, and conveniently located across the street from Museo Botero. Worth a quick walk through as the art installations are fantastic. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon an exhibit of Emory Douglas' work for the Black Panther Party. Fascinating.

After visiting the Botero Museum and its 2 other related museums, I crossed the street and visited this library. It has a Gift Store , Information Desk, and other Sections with books, etc. Due to time constraints, I did not visit the other floors. Located along the Exit Area are displays of some musical instruments. Note that the Entrance and... More

We went in to take a look then wanted to go back out but the security guards made us walk all the way through this very big building and put us out on the street on the next block. Why can't you enter and exit from the same door? So stupid!

This is a splendid library with facilities for all and open access for the public. At the back is the extension to the Art gallery opposite.

A Multiple level (nominally 5 floors) building of modern open mezzanine level design, great for study groups and internet usage (a little slow for me), occupying a whole block in La Candelaria Vieja. Various eclectic displays such as of famous authors, history and cartoonists. Worth an hour or two unless you Fear Education

Located un the hearth of the Candelaria, it is more than a library... it has great art collection.... in front of it there is the sala de las custodias, which has 3 custodias in puré gold and precious stones....please do not miss it

A nice break from the nosy street outside and great during a rainstorm. Stroll through the library and appreciate the architecture. The top floor has a patio with nice skyline views of Bogotá. Nice art is strewn throughout the museum in addition to a dedicated art museum with rotating exhibits which are all free.

See this on your first day in Bogota or else check their website. That's because they have several special events, such as concerts, each month. The architecture in this building is very beautiful. It's very relaxing to walk around it. Straight back from the entrance and up the stairs there is a special exhibit area. When I was there they... More
