I have visited this museum several times and have enjoyed myself each time. The exhibits have been well presented and there is enough to occupy your time for an hour or so. It's not on a grand scale, but well suited to the neighborhood. I was a bit disappointed in the gift shop.

Currently thie Mambo as it is known has a fabulous fibre art exhibit by a well known Columbian artist.A film accompanies the exhibit which shows exactly how the pieces are created.Visually it is stunning.

Good modern art museum with 2-3 exhibits on rotation. Quality varies from exhibition to exhibition, so investigate ahead online before going to see what's currently showing and if it interests you. Centrally located just off pedestrian street la Séptima. Some exhibits I've loved, some have been the standard boring modern painted geometric squares.

Nothing amazing just a museum with all kind of portraits of different people, but the main one is botero.

When I was there, the entire museum was filled with art done by Diego Mazuera and it was wonderful. He has very varying styles, with each different style grouped together within the museum. Part of my enjoyment was looking at which decade the work was done in and piecing together the evolution of his art. Some I liked better than... More

We visited this museum to see the work of Diego Mazuera, a Colombian abstract artist, whose work we enjoyed very much. We understand, however, that this was a temporary exhibition and I am not entirely sure that the museum has a permanent collection, so before you visit, it may be worth visiting the museum website to see what is on... I liked it a lot because it wasn't much of an investment of either time or money. COP$4000 (less than $2USD) is an incredible bargain, and you can browse for 30 minutes and the just move on with your day. It is definitely recommendable as a visit next to the planetarium or during your stroll down 7th avenue, but not... More

Small but great museum. The exhibits on display when I visited were varied but all in what I would call a mid-20th century style. The entry fee was a pittance. The building is set back considerably from the street. Look for the sidewalk sign.

I was looking forward to see the permanent collection of Colombian artists, but it had probably been re oved temporarily to make way for an exhibition of one artist. That in itself was very interesting and contained his short writings. However, the museum in general offered less than it claimed.

Recommended for art lovers interested in what's happening in Colombia. Their permanent collection is not "world class", although you're likely to find at least some pieces of quality that speak to you. The special exhibits can be interesting. The Salmona designed building is not his best work. It's functional but has no elevator for visitors and lots of stairs, which... More
