We stopped by here and found we could go on a tour of the building and its historical sections. A congressional session was taking place at the time so we managed to see a bit of it. The tour was interesting as it gave us a bit of info on the building's history, the historical parts that included a school... More

I've have been to Paraguay a number of times on business & every time I go I always learn something new about the political make up of the countries one visits. The Legislative Palace in Asuncion is a good place to visit.due to its long history of political turmoil, wars, dictatorships and quest for democracy. There are daily tours (inquire... More

The legislative room is on the top floor of the legislative building and a cool site to see. Open to the public and free entry.

The best part of this site is the building. I enjoyed looking at the architecture and the stairway is beautiful. The actual museum portion is small and underwhelming. Also, the entire time I was there a young man followed me around. I am not sure if that was to make sure I didn't do anything improper or if he was... More

Yes it looks, sounds & is a very interesting building to see & walk round, it probably is however there is just one problem with your plan. The building is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL 2PM ANYDAY, BE WARNED. Plus there is only one English speaking guided tour per day at 3pm only. If it wasn't just for those... More

Still performing a legislative function, as well as, it seems, functioning as an arts studio, the building also houses a series of free museums, The exhibits are ok, and it good shape, so visiting, which is free, doesn't hurt. But exceptional it isn't.

The interesting part of this building, which used to be the legislative assembly, is that you can sample artifacts from other Asuncion museums within. It has many displays, great views, and a wonderful staircase made of iron and marble. It is definitely worth an hour of your time and might lead to visiting other museums in the city.

Es un edificio que fue del antiguo cabildo y que posteriormente fue usado por el Congreso de Paraguay. Hoy es un centro cultural, con lo que se puede visitar y recorrer, por ejemplo, la historia de la Música de Paraguay.
