The island is only a few minutes away from Anse Vata and is such a suprise. Snorkelling was really good, with thousands of tiny fish. Little bar /restaurant supplied everything that you needed, and the prices seemed to be the same as on the mainland. The ferry will drop you off on the beach in front of your hotel if... More

Taxi boat to the island 12000 (15000 if booked from Le Meridian hotel) each way. It only takes about 5 minutes to get there. It took us 10 minutes walk around the entire island. Snorkelling was nice, and we saw several rainbow few and even a giant clam with a purple rim. Lounge chairs are expensive to hire, though you... More

Super close to Noumea and well priced quick ferry trip made this a must do on our trip. Great snorkelling just off the island, but stick to the trail so as not to damage any more coral. Suggest taking packed lunch with you as restaurant on island is a little pricey. Option to hire sun lounger for a full day... More

Just a few minutes by boat and you access another paradies. Chilly area with perfect under water area. Done it already for the second time.

A 10 to 15 minute car ride from Noumea to Ansa Vata. Then a 10 minute jet boat to Ile Aux Canard. Expensive food on the island so you could take your own. Best to hire a deck chair (also expensive) - pay at the bar. Snorkelling gear for hire on the island too. I couldn't find flippers to fit... More

Awesome snorkeling!! Only 5 mins via water taxi. You do need to estimate how long you will be on the island to book your return taxi. 2 hours was enough for us

Nice little island, located only about 1km off Noumea's Bais de Citrons (Lemon Bay). Snorkeling is awesome. Larger fish and rays hanging off the edge of the coral reef. The reef itself is best where the marker bouys are located to the west side of the very small island. You have to pay water taxi to get over there, it... More

The boat over for $25 was a bit problematic, you have to say what time you will return and this time is on your ticket. Its very hard to know depending on the weather the crowds etc. So returning can be tricky, no real queuing just everyone scrambling to get aboard with one skipper doing everything. It got t a... I think it might have been due to the day before being extremely windy but the water wasn't nice and clear as I've heard from others about Duck Island! It was still nice, the snorkelling was lovely, except being smashed by sea lice. We saw some turtles and lots of amazing fish. Was quite expensive for the sun lounges and... More
