Recently visited this island, catching the water taxi was a bit hard with people who payed for their ticket after us pushing in to get to the island first (only 1 boat at a time with a limit of 12 people) once we got there...More

Fantastic snorkelling, even at low tide with beautiful coloured coral and surrounded by fish. I also saw a turtle, 2 sea snakes and a massive variety of fish We went to iles de pins and this was not that much less impressive. A must to...More

Just a quick boat taxi from Noumea and you are dropped onto a wonderful island oasis, equipped with bar that serves all your food and drink needs if you so require them. The snorkeling trail is what really makes this island as it is amazing....More

Beautiful coral island just a quick boat ride across (1500 xpf from Le Merdien). There’s a snorkel trail mapped out by bouts, lots of coral, small and large fish plus I was lucky enough to swim with a turtle. If you want to spend the...More

If only for something different! A little run in the taxi boat, a lazy swim, some lunch - would recommend!

We caught a 5 minute taxi boat from Anse Vata to Duck Island after hearing reviews about it with our 2 kids (under 3). It was not what we expected. From Noumea it looks like the island is covered in golden sand, in fact its...More

Fantastic snorkeling... like being in a tropical fish tank. Easy to get to by water taxi from Anse Vata Beach.

Only 2200 Francs return taxi boat to get there and on the island it is 3000 to rent two day beds. If you don't want to rent a day bed there are a couple of sandy spots you could find too. The snorkelling wasn't very...More

I was surprised to see how close it is from Anse Vata beach but I love the island for it's lovely, clear water. It is not really a white sandy beach but you can enjoy the lovely swimming session and snorkeling as well. Too bad...More

A quick five minute water taxi ride gets you to an idyllic tropical island with beautiful clear water, colourful fish and coral to snorkel over. Individual umbrellas and lounges to hire, also snorkel gear. A great place to relax off Anse Vata Beach.

The day I went there were only 2 taxi's running - and there was a ship load of people there. Hence we waited approx 1.5hrs either end. Do not go over in bad weather - the ride is very uncomfortable and scary.
