If the Marine Reserve is a highlight of your trip to Hideaway Island then you are going to be disappointed! The coral is dead or has been destroyed by countless visitors standing on the coral! There is no one to meet you as you arrive to explain about the need to preserve the coral reef, to take care and NOT... More

Hubby and I visited hideaway as day visitors to snorkel. The snorkeling was good with abundant tropical fish , however little to no coral. If you a new to snorkeling or have kids you will probably enjoy.

We had the choice between the Snorkel Safari for 3500 vatu or Marine Park Adventure for 4500 vatu. The Marine Park Adventure includes lunch which you would be paying over 1000 vatu for, so I would definitely recommend booking that tour. You also get a trip on their glass bottom boat with the Marine Park Adventure tour.

Pretty cool, little market for some trinkets. A local bar and restaurant with wifi. Blacker color sand . Water activities are available on site.

A great place to visit beautiful spot with great snorkeling. Food and drinks available on the island. Went on a Friday and then had dinner and watched the fire show afterwards.

A good break from mainland Port Villa. We did the Snorkel tour and had lunch. Wear your water shoes as it is all crushed coral. Water nice with lots of fish. Take the boat out to see some nicer coral. Not the best, but good to see all the fish and some nice patches of coral. Kids lives the underwater... More

We went there for snorkelling, saw a lot of beautiful tropical fish. Snorkelling in the marine research here was one of my highlights for Port Villa. I recommend to come here in the morning, less people n and visibility is better.
