This Princess Panhwar is a a lovely ship, the crew are fantastic, the food is excellent and the cruise itself is astonishing. You will see Biblical poverty scenes as you sail through impoverished areas. If you can, tag on a visit to Inle Lake - you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!! There are many reviews praising this ship but it does have... More

We have traveled on many cruise ships and stayed at several five and six star hotels around the world. The strand cruise is absolutely five star and wonderful. The service and the food are world class. Equal to to a Michelin one star restaurant. Everything is included even wine. The crew treated us like family and could not be more... More

We booked the Sanctuary Ananda, which is arguably the most luxurious boat on the Ayeyarwady. It is a beautifully appointed and small boat, with lovely communal areas. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. We were fortunate enough to be in the Owners' Suite - a sumptuous and very large suite with private balcony at the back of the boat.... More

Two couples, we booked this cruise from Bagan to Yangon, as part of a 3 week tour of Myanmar. Everything about this was exceptional, from the boat, cabins, staff and on-shore visits. The food was outstanding, with a mix of Asian and Western. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We were very lucky that there were... More

The Strand Cruise ship is fantastic, the service on board is great, but when we got stuck on a sandbank for 19 hours (a significant amount of time for a four day cruise) the crew's ability to deal with the problem was disappointing. From every angle, from the poor and confusing communications, to the clear lack of a plan. The... More

The trouble with our cruise on the Pandaw Orient was that it had to finish. The journey north from Mandalay was not possible because of the river level being so low, but we didn’t know about the change of itinerary until mid-way through the cruise, but it didn’t matter. We were looked after regally by a lovely friendly crew, bar... More

Just returned from a wonderful holiday on the River Irrawaddy in Myanmar. Joined the cruise boat in Yangon and cruised for 2 weeks ending our cruise in Mandalay. The boat was first class and exceptionally clean and nothing was too much trouble for the crew. They were so enthusiastic and really helped to make our holiday very memorable. We visited... More

What a wonderful experience! From the comfort of the spacious cabin, delicious food and included drinks, devoted, attentive and friendly staff to the perfectly balanced itinerary this was truly a great holiday. Myanmar is relatively untouched by tourism and in my experience an interesting, friendly and memorable place to visit.

Fantastic tour, the boat was first class, good quality and choice of food. The staff were always happy and couldn't do enough to help. All the tour guides spoke good English and were informative. Not only did we see Temples, Pagodas and Monasteries we walked through rural villages talking to the locals. Lovely people, happy to engage with us, especially... More
