This park is in the centre of Yangon and when we visited it was packed with families, musicians and a band playing. Quite a nice space to relax in. Even had civilised toilets which is most unusual. Spend around 1 hour wandering through and that...More

We didn't go inside the park, but we get off from the car infront of the park. It is City Hall just infront of the park. We take photo of city hall and then continue for a walk among Yangon Heritage Colonial Style buildings.

This park was obviously popular for local folks on a Sunday. It provided a shady place to drink our water on a warm day. Nice, well maintained green-space.
Take 30-60 minutes and have a walk around and through the gardens where you can see the Independence Monument, City Hall, High Court and the Sule Pagoda. Even take your life in your hands trying to cross the streets at the SUle Pagoda roundabout.
Apart from the independence monument (which only has Burmese text on it), there really isnt much to see here. Perhaps the most helpful thing in this park is its public toilet.
