Great for a good walk or run

You will be able to go for a good walk or run in this park and see the "floating duck" as well as have a good meal

An evening picnic to the Kandawgyi Park is a must in your visit. Enjoy the walk around the kraweik palace where you can watch a live Burmese puppet and cultural show followed by dinner. The park hosts many eateries and many different types of trees and birds. They also have a zoo which houses a white tiger. You can pass... More

It was nice walking around in this garden which has now become more of the local folks entertaining eating joint . While entering from the main entrance you are charged entrance many people flock from the side entrance in their vehicles without paying entrance fee . There is nice reflection of Shewedagon Pagoda in its lake

I was fortunate enough to visit this place about 10 years ago before Myanmar opened up, and it was a welcome opportunity for some peace and quiet while taking a stroll through its wooden walkways. My most recent visit here was a bit less peaceful and tranquil, due to its growing state of disrepair in a few parts. It's still... More

very beautiful and scenic park but too many crows and the wooden platform around the area were uneven. it is recommended to visit this park during sunset as it gives the best view.

We went on the boardwalk on the West side of the Lake. We were truly scared of falling through the poorly maintained wooden boards. Pretty dangerous...it's hard to enjoy the view when you must look at every step to avoid a broken or rotten wooden board or a misplaced nail. It's too bad because otherwise the lake is nice with... So you walk around the lake on a wooden walkway above the lake. Lots of Myanmar couples will be taking selfies. The lake was originally made by the British as a water reservoir for the city. Don't try and take a taxi from near the exit to the lake - they will try and rip you off if you look... More

We made the mistake of walking to this place from Downtown. We misjudged the circumference however and it became a long trek. Although quite pretty in parts, the pontoon/pier/bridges are in a very bad state of repair and make a hazardous and uncomfortable walk.

A very popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The walks around the lake are a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of Yangon's streets. The boardwalks are past their use by date unfortunately and require a fair bit of concentration to walk along. Lots of cafes within the park offer meals and drinks. Prices are fairly high but... Due to heat in Yangon I found that you could not walk far but this place had a lot of shady places to sit. Also you can get some great photos. Do be aware that in places the board walk is not in the best kepted condition. There are also a couple of nice playgrounds for kids and places to... More
