This church is super super old, and have the real traditional design of church by that time period. The interior is wonderful, don't miss it, it's on the main pedestrian walk leaving the city center.

This is a major site for a reason. The art and frescos are beautiful and the architecture is stunning.

This review is quite late. I just came from the Puppet Theatre when I passed by an old church buildoing which turned out to be the Anchiskhati Basilica. The simplicity of the architectural design enhances the beauty of the structure.

This is one of the oldest church in Tbilisi. The interior though not elaborated is charming in its own way. Worth visiting

This is the oldest church in Old Tbilisi. There are far fewer icons in this church than many of the others in Old Tbilisi. This gives it more of a feel of the churches seen in Armenia. It is also different in that it has three naves rather than the more usual configuration. For me the simpler the church, the... More

It is just in the middle of the old city next to the famous Marionette theater and Gabriadze cafe. I took my best picture of it from the back

Built in the beginning of VI century and only one survived among the ancient period churches in Tbilisi. Anchiskhati was always i the core of major events since then. Today it represents one of the key tourist sites.
