It's like a smaller version of Central Park in NYC. It used to be an airfield before it was converted to a park with lots of trees and even some animals. Nice place to walk around for nearby office workers.Enjoying the lovely park in the springtime. Watching cherryblossoms and spring food festival, I got water coloring for me too. The park is so huge and we can enjoy everything like cycling, strolling, playing kite, having picnic with friends and family. Will be back for sure!

This is a picturesque park, especially during cherry blossom season when the blossom is abundant.

The park is a short way from Han River.

A very beautiful park. I was lucky to get there during the cherry blossom season, which was very beautiful. The park itself is neat and tidy, the paths are good and comfortable.

This is the small central park at the island of Yeouido. Amid imposing, ultramodern skyscrapers, it is a tranquil urban oasis with a small Korean pavilion. Even without the cherry blossoms, Yeouido Park is a lovely place to explore.

We were very lucky in the first week of April to be there for the cherry blossom season in Seoul. It wasn't planned ahead of time. In the last week of March everything was brown and bare but by the time we returned from Busan (and their cherry blossom season) Seoul was in full bloom. We were able to enjoy the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival in Yeouido Park in the early night with all the trees lit up. Access is free and you can walk along the roads that have been closed to traffic. We started near the National Assembly Building before entering the park. There are some views of the Hangang River along the way. I think it would be also nice to visit in the daytime when the colours would be more natural. There are also some displays of tulips, azaleas and other spring flowers.

The only reason we headed to this park was to see the cherry blossom trees, as we read it's one of the best spots in Seoul for that.
However, this year we were obviously late for that in the second half of April.
Without the cherry blossom trees it is still a nice, but very average park without a need to go out of your way.

We rented bikes and rode around the park. Though we got lost, it was a memorable experience! At night, it is lively with many people outside and vendors. It's a beautiful area to walk or ride around the rived and to people watch.

Splendid park for appreciating the beautiful cherry blossoms - very clean and near the river where more blossoms line the boulevard.

Yeouido is the financial district of Seoul, so on weekends streets are quite empty, IFC mall is busy and if the weather is decent Yeouido Park is flooded with locals. The park is nothing really that special, large lawn areas where people put up tents, the river front rather uninspiring. Hangang Park in Gangnam is much nicer.
