This is the largest market in Korea for clothes, household items and food. We visited here twice, once during the day and once in the evening. We used the subway and exited at Hoehyeon station. We had a very cheap local dinner here and bought...More

This place is ideal for those who want to buy souvenirs etc. The price here is also cheaper esepecially the fruits. I was amazed by the clothes they are selling for winter because of the fur they've used. Ideal place for wholesale shopping.

A great place to people watch, a lousy place to shop, unless you like crowded street markets. At mid-day, there were people everywhere with different sounds, smells and sights. Neat to wonder thru, but not something I'm looking to purchase from.

If you look for souvenir (gifts and special snacks from Korea), this is suitable place. Price is cheaper than others for some kind of gifts/snacks. You also can bargain.

You can buy almost everything here. No electronics thou😃 outdoor shops and air-conditioned area. Food are in the basement. And there's accessories all over. Unique handmade. And great finds of nuts and air-dried fruits

It's full of cheap junks ... the area is a bit smelly too. Not sure what the hype is about. Seoul offers many other better markets and spots to visit than this dated corner.

Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and
undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes
shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of
shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of
one another. The rise in popularity of Korean
cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a
must-see for visitors who come and marvel at
Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and

I don't recall them having a different closing time for winter. most close abt 930-10, but the Hello APM mall closes at 4am, though personally I find nothing worth buying there.
