If you like strange and quirky, this is your museum! It's actually 8 museums in one, though not all were open when we visited. There are some interesting exhibits, presented in old-fashioned style, somewhat dusty and dated. It's 5 LE to enter the grounds and most the museums. It's an additional 10 LE for the Museum of Heritage Collections (Fine... More

Modern EGYPT refers to the kingdom of Egypt starting with ruling of Mohamed Ali and extended till the last kings of Egypt. The Agricultural Museum is a reflection to the greatness of this period where the value of discovery was realized and for which such a place was built. In this location there are 6 different museums. Not all of... More

I must say that the poor reviews here are just a shame. You will need at least 5 hours to see all the display! And that is without reading the descriptions! They have 5 buildings, at the moment 3 are open and 2 are closed for maintenance I guess, which I hope will end soon as the collections are absolutely... More

I am an agronomist and enjoyed my visit. Can't imagine kids enjoying the place; it's out of date. The collection is very precious and deserves to be preserved.

The AM is the closest you can get to a 'natural history' museum in Egypt... Like many attractions in Egypt, the building and surroundings are good to be a museum by themselves. The AM is a great place to learn about Egyptian civilization and culture; old and new.. However years of low budget maintenance left it in poor condition. So... More

The Agricultural Museum is a time capsule from 1930: a dusty old gem filled with hundreds of stuffed animals, a wonderful old butterfly collection, educational exhibits on agricultural technologies of the 1930's, mannequins in tribal costume, models of the innards of farm animals. If the quirky appeals to you, this place will dazzle you. Bring a camera. The building is... More

Visit the Origins of Agriculture Bldg at the far end of the park. Lots of great foodstuffs and animal mummies found in tombs. Bldgs open two per day (Total of 5 or 6). Science and Technology Bldg has great lower floor of daily life vignettes, engineering models of dams, very interesting. Fun. Worth seeing. But only open until 2 PM.... More
