It is interesting, but a guide is needed to appreciate the Citadel. Guides are relatively inexpensive because Egyptian Pound is way down.

We very much enjoyed the views of the Mosque from the city. The design is beautiful and it is huge. Definitely worth stopping by.

The building itself is very very beautiful, and there's another good attraction, you may have a good view outside of the building to see the city of Cairo, this place is good for the photographer and selfie.

My guide took me to the Citadel where this Mosque is located. Wow it is impressive. You are allowed to take photos inside but you have to have your shoulders and knees covered to enter. The lights inside are huge. Well worth the visit.
