As everywhere in Egypt, forget about having a peaceful walk, you will be offered everything, but mostly here, Felluca sailing rides Sunset certainly was something though

A walk long the corniche is a must, if u can handle the hassle by the winter palace hotel , if you venture toward the Karnak end its quoted and more pleasant

If you are in Luxor you will not be able to ignore the corniche and will enjoy a walk along it (hopefully to visit the Luxor Museum). The view of the West Bank, Nile and boats is quite picturesque.
