These enormous solid stone obelisks are located adjacent to the many series of stone columns in the Temple of Karnak. Just outside of Luxor, this is a spectacular ancient temple and a must see when in Luxor. Our guide also pointed out to us that...More

If you have the chance to visit the temple it is a must see. Only been here for an hour but it was well worth it. Breathtaking place with so much to see.

Again history is so interesting, all part of Egypt and it story. A lot of walking as most sites are. See all you can. Yes it can be overwhelming.

Two obelisks situated in Karnak temple. The obelisk of Thutmoses I and Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut. They are both huge and amazing, a must see.

The two obelisks stand proudly in the Karnak temple complex and are in a fairly good condition. You will see them once you visit Karnak.

This obelisk at the Karnak temple is so huge that it will amaze you when you stand next to it . The engineering involved to raise and erect it, and the structure standing without any support is marvellous.

It's part of Karnak temple near the sacred lake. Obelisk mean a soldier with a hand sign of maintaining silence as per my guide

The obelisk is covered with beautiful carvings. When you take the pic in the bright sun, you think you can't see the art on them, but it came out. Very dramatic against the dark blue sky

Inside Karnak Temple, these 2 obelisks certainly command attention. Good access all around gives an impressive view of these wonders
