Going for a coffee with friends and children, the muffins were served steaming hot just out of the microwave, when asked for an unmicrowaved one it was served frozen! Cinnamon rolls were stale. And we saw a rat run across the lawn. Coffees are always good and the store is lovely, but the food seems to be declining in quality... More

This place is just amazing. It helps refugee women earn money by producing some great local crafts that are perfect little gifts. We were given a tour of the place and talked to some of the women. Afterwards I bought a beautiful cushion at the gift shop. We were just in time for lunch which took a while to prepare... More

It's a treasure. I love visiting this store. It's a sobering experience and an absolute pleasure to promote their cause. And with the Kenyan warmth and welcoming of the personnel, you don't want to leave.

So today my Sister and I decided to catch a late lunch at the Garden Cafe. As always, the server was pleasant and the food was good. Most of it. The chicken samosas were horrible. The ambiance was nice, as usual, and the garden was absolutely beautiful. Love, love the store, the quality of the goods and the story behind... More

This was my first visit to Amani. I met up with friends for breakfast. The garden area is very nice and great for kids. The location is also pretty central - in Riverside. Amani has a great story behind it and they do some great work however they need to make a little effort in their food department. The spanish... More

Lovely selection of handmade crafts, jewellery and clothes. Knowing that the selling of these crafts supports men and women who may otherwise not have work is an added bonus. There is also a workshop which we were invited to look around, and a cafe in a lovely garden setting. It's about a half hour walk from the CBD.

am glad they finally put up a good sign at the entrance. Its such a nice lovely little place. The little trinkets in the showroom are unique and good. They have very nice salads, filling as well. The coffee was strong and well brewed just the way i like it. The trees and kiddy area has a homely feeling. Almost... More

From the moment you pull down the driveway, to the lovely garden and adorable boutique- this place is charming. I could seriously take one of everything in the store, it's beautiful and well made. Even more wonderful is the story behind Amani ya Juu. If you visit, please ask one of the ladies about getting a tour of the facilities.... More

Amani is a wonderful little shop with great items, purses, jewelry, clothing, Christmas, and lots more. Each item is hand made, and each woman that has made it has a story. You know that when you purchase something there you are supporting a great cause. Great place to buy gifts, whether you are in Nairobi or you can go online... More
