I love a forest walk but this is just a bit disappointing. Unlike Karura forest which is well managed with great paths and loads of animals and bird life this feels a bit unloved. There were crowds of noisy picnickers, litter, overgrown narrow paths etc. You never feel you're more than a short hop from civilisation. Wouldn't return.

Having popped down to the trail in early April for the first time; a friend and I did the dash down to the cave and back. Whilst we managed in sandals, I would recommend better shoes (and a tetanus shot!). Partly as the terrain is mixed, but mainly as the paths, stairs and rails haven't been well maintained which is... The forest is located in the serene and quite neighborhood of Karen in Nairobi. You can choose to have a picnic, walk through the nature trail or camp. They charge differently for each item but they are all affordable. Its much affordable if you want to camp in groups of 10, you get a group package. There is a small... More

This small forest area is a good escape for an afternoon walk or a weekend picnic. More informal than the likes of Karua Forest but that can also be the charm. We have Ben there for a couple of hours and only seen 2-3 other people. Perfect! The paths are not marked that well but with it being a small... More

I went in April so it was probably the driest it gets but its a good trail for a long walk and if you want to have a picnic with friends.

This is the place to be for the natural lovers. It's advisable to go as a group of more than 3 people. You can walk, jog, walk your dog. There is plenty of fresh air and lots of things to discover. We found a sought of a cave, a timber kind of 'tower' and the waterfall is amazing.

Getting here was easy as we were able to grab an uber there and there was service available there so we were able to call an uber to pick us up. This is a very beautiful place with varied terrain however there is very little signage so it is easy to get turned around. Considering non residents pay $600 ksh... More

If you like nature, peace and quiet, this is a place to visit. One can hike, take a dip in the waterfall, camp, do a bonfire & cook or have a picnic. It will recharge you. I will be going back soon.
