I've always wanted to hike across the famous Ngong Hills. Seen them so often, passing by when once again in search of a place that serves juicy goat meat in this Maasai home area near Nairobi. We took off at a decent morning time, reached the entrance of the hills from Ngong town center coming (after passing the police station,... More

Loved the views..we went picnicking and loved it. I love the open nature and the unmarked trails. You need a guard to go all the way but its amazing..

By far the most exhausting yet fun and adventurous thing my friends and I have done to date. Don't be fooled by the word "Hills" they are not for the faint heart, you need to prepare and arm yourself. If you're a snacks person (like me)..best to just sit this one out or you could challenge your body and have... More

Great views and worth the drive from Nairobi. Remember sun protection as there isn't lots of shade. We needed to plan better for food as the place we stopped at (which I can't remember the name) didn't have what we wanted.

Ngong was among the hills I used to train for Kilimanjaro. Good experience, though can be very windy (I was almost carried away). Have to get a guard at the entrance - this is because it has buffalos and other wild animals (don't try to be a ninja). Atleast go with a pax - minimum of two:- this is because... More

The hills provide an impressive extended viewpoint for Nairobi National Park, Nairobi City and the Rift Valley. The hiking experience is wonderful as well as the magnificent views. Ideal place for a picnic.

It was cold, misty and very windy but we all had anticipated this. The group had different kinds of people with different capabilities so our party kept on spreading wide. The rangers/guides we had were really friendly. Made sure we finished in good time and the slower members were catered for.

There are 7 hills that are not too hard to climb. The third hill is the hardest due to loose rocks and heavy brush but it only takes a few minutes to make it through. The views are really great with a brown Rift Valley on one side and a green city of Karen on the other side. It should... More
