Overview
More
Ol Kinyei Conservancy is 18,700 acres of wilderness which belongs to a Maasai community who leased it to Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps for it to be set aside for the purposes of wildlife conservation. Ol Kinyei Conservancy is home to only one permanent camp, the Porini Mara Camp which accommodates a maximum of only 12 guests at any given time - making this not only an exclusive experience but one that respects the principles of eco-tourism. Located within the Serengeti-Mara eco-system, Ol Kinyei is renowned for its unspoilt and breathtaking scenery with diverse terrain offering on one hand open savannah plains and rolling hills on the other.

We stayed at Gamewatchers Adventure Camp in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. We had amazing wildlife viewing in this conservancy including a number of cheetahs and lions not to mention giraffes, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, baboons, and lots of birds and more. The Maasi people who work...More

Could not have asked for a better Safari than with Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps. Being in the conservation gives you an opportunity to interact with local Masai and learn about their culture and get to know them as individuals. I was fortunate to grow...More

TIP: Pick a conservancy over the Mara itself. The guides and drivers can go off track and take you very close to the game. Brilliant experience.

So. Many. Cats. It was December, so Mara River was very dry and dusty. We say tons of hippos, elephants and alligators, but no cats. However...at Ol Kinyei, we were able to get into the bushes, and saw several large prides of lions, cheetahs hunting,...More

Nothing could prepare us for the amazing experiences that we had here from wildlife encounters - and there were many, to the personal interaction we had with the Maasai people who staffed the Gamewatchers Adventure Camp where we stayed. This was our first visit and...More

Porini Mara Camp is small, just six comfortable tents, great guides, good food and attentive staff. Wildlife in the area is plentiful, and at the time we were there, many wildebeest had given birth. Lots of young animals around, including lions.
