History surrounds the old town and old port is so fascinating and takes you back to that era when sailors from Asia and Europe used to do the business with Africa. Old town resembles an ancient city of Middle East/ Indian sub continent.

Old town hardly changes physically. However, it is unnerving to know that as a visitor I can no longer take a leisure walk like in yester years due to increased cases of mugging.

Hi Jada, You find the official ones in front of Fort Jesus. Prices between 1500/2000 KES, for a good guide.
