The China Aviation Museum is a good aviation museum. There are quite a few aircraft not seen anywhere else. It took us 2 hours to get there (the bus route is 643, about 16 stops from the end of train line 5 and a 1...More

A few friends told me the place wasn't all that great and wasn't worth visiting. However, I decided to visit the China Aviation Museum anyways, just out of curiosity. It was one of the best attractions for me in Beijing! The place features a massive...More

The first thing to mention is that it is a long way out of town and I suspect public transport would be difficult. You can get a taxi there, but you will have to get your driver to wait for your return. Good luck! Another...More

It was interesting walking through what is essentially a boneyard. Maybe we were unlucky, but on day we visited all the exhibitions were closed including the Cavern. Many of the buildings had clearly been padlocked for a long time. Golf carts are a thing of...More

All days, from 9:00 to 18:00 hrs, except in winters when it opens from 9:30 to 17:00 hrs. It's easy to get a cab for the return trip, since a lot of taxi drivers used to wait outside the parking station for new customers.
