We have decided to make this an annual trip because of how pleasant it is. We look forward to this time of year in Beijing as the heat and humidity has finally passed and before it begins to get cold. The weather is perfect, the water is flowing and the villagers are fantastic and hospitable. If you are looking for an escape from the city life of Beijing, you can’t go wrong visiting the Miyun Bai River.

We live in Beijing and the whole city is pretty much building and pollution. If you take an hour and a half drive to the northeast corner, you will find the beautiful Miyun Bai River. The surrounding villages are so quaint and peaceful and you’d never be able to tell that you’re still in Beijing. Take a weekend trip and I assure you it will be an awesome experience. The motel/hotel rooms there are dirt cheap as well.
