Great Wall & forbidden city

Great to see the Great Wall and the forbidden city but was disappointed with this tour overall. Tour guide was very good and I leaned a lot about the Chinese history but there... read more

Very expensive and no real value. Guide had no qualms saying he and the driver expect a tip. Tour shorter than prescribed time by 45 mins. Obligatory stop at 'fake' factory for forced shopping.

We were told that this is the best part of the great wall. Booked it in our hotel with grayline tours. You'll arrive at the cable car station. You can go by closed cable car, open cable car and by stairs. I took the stairway. That takes about 20-25 minutes. The staircases are neat and come with a handrail. You... More

Great to see the Great Wall and the forbidden city but was disappointed with this tour overall. Tour guide was very good and I leaned a lot about the Chinese history but there was alit of time wasted with trips to silk, jade and tea factory which I was not interested in. Would have preferred if they had outlined they... More

It's the only way to see Beijing. We hired Grayline for a private tour of the city including, Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Yuanhou Siilk and Pearl Market and finally the Birds Nest @ the Olympic Park. It was a full 9 hour day - including a stop for a very "local" lunch which was awesome.... More

A thoroughly interesting tour with the knowledgeable "Bill" from Grey line Tours. We began with a walk through the Forbidden City. Bill gave us loads of entertaining facts throughout. He pitched it perfectly, enough but not too much information, as we needed to keep moving due to the bitterly cold wind that day. After lunch (included in the price of the tour)we... More

I booked the 'Essential Beijing tour' with Grayline Tours, which included the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Badaling Great Wall. Our tour guide was friendly, and knew what he was talking about. He also provided us with local information that could help us during our stay in Beijing, such as the do's and don't's, and where else we... More

We took 2 tours with Grayline that we organized through the Kerry Center hotel. The first was the Essential Beijing tour covering to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Badaling Great Wall. The tour guide was good and we did enjoy most of the tour, except when we were taken to Yuanhou Silk, the Longdi Jade Factory and Dr... More

I didn't read reviews of Grayline Beijing before we booked . If I had read i doubt I would have gone but the tour turned out to be fun. Booked the tour through Hilton Wangfujing. Paid 470 rmb per person. We booked it because it brought us to Mutianyu Great Wall which is about 85 km from the city n... More

This was booked through our hotel, The Hilton Wangfujing £180 for 2 adults to see the Great Wall of China - plus added extras! The tour guide was nice enough, David I think, he didn't give us much history of China, talked more about the cars.... The Great wall was worth seeing but on the way back we stopped at... More
