Closed to the public. You can't get in. The guards would not let me in. There is no observation deck. I tried to get in on both sides of the building and circled the building even which is almost 2 miles. Don't waste your time.

I went to the CCTV Tower on an AQI~50 day at 3pm. I could see the mountains to the west and CBD to the east. The low-lying Forbidden City was perceptible, as were the distant Olympic Park buildings to the north. The finite amount of pollution veiled distant objects, even on a blue sky day. The best take away from... More

There is a rotating section at the restaurant. So you can sit and look all around Beijing while you enjoy your meal. The price is reasonable and the buffet food offer everything to everybody. There was even surprisingly good French fries. All soft drinks are included in the buffet, also the beer. In our opinion it was however exactly worth... More

The Tower is by no means a bucket list or top thing to do in China. It might not even be a must do, but if you have nothing else to do and want to visit a Beijing attraction, it might be worth your while. However, if the pollution level is at or above 200, you might as well forget... More

It was difficult to get there by metro. Located near the 3rd Ring Road there is not much to see under the tower at night - the lit up builings are few kms far. So you need low level of smog, of course.

The Antenna gives great views in pollution free weather. The rotating restaurant is 300RMB for a meal. The Observatory just over 100RMB. There is a cheesy TV studio mock up up the tower, and some over tit tat nick nack shops on the ground floor with token magicians and weird shows. The main star is the view though. I've been... More

Definitely worth visiting if you have the time. The tower when it lights up at night is quite beautiful. Most Beijinger's wouldn't recommend you coming here if it's your first time in Beijing. While it is beautiful it's not worth the time and effort to come here there are much more beautiful and much more famous towers elsewhere in the... More

This was my second visit of the tower. The first time I only made some pictures from the ground because of the weather. Now I had the chance of a almost clear sky, which is good enough for Beijing. First I had problems buying the ticket with my card, so if you plan to get to the tower prepare those... More
