Beijing zoo was quite crowded in the middle of the week. As a comparison to European zoos, this was a shock. Tiny cages, children shouting to the animals, throwing them on any kind of a objects what they can just find and animals did not...More

Beijing zoo is located convenient to metro and public transport service. Area is limited and animals have very less enclosure space. Temperature control is missing. Variety of animals is good but upkeep and cleanliness needs to increase. Only one Panda was seen and he too...More

Definitely a pleasure to see the Pandas at Beijing Zoo being cared for , and a definite attraction for Western visitors to the city. However , the condition of the other enclosures is very disappointing, and a distinct lack of animals visible here. The Pandas...More

Whatever day you pick, go early as it get the impression the pandas are more active early-mid morning than during the rest of the day.
