This is a huge lake with parts being inside the summer palace. The long corridor actually built along the lake shore which made it more scenic. We strolled under the corridor and walked back along the lake, very relaxing.
The lake inside the summer palace is handmade and a copy of the real Kunming lake.
The summer palace consist in tree quarters of lake and the rest are buildings and park area.
Great place for a pick nick a walk and some good pictures.
The lake is manmade and covers three quarters of the area of the Summer Palace. Very picturesque and great to stroll along or sit and people watch. You could even take a short dragon boat trip to Longevity Hill and the Tower of Buddhist Incense....More
