Did what the locals do. We cycled to explore the island, part of it probably. It was another side of Hong Kong and we enjoyed it. Seafood was cheaper and perhaps a little touristy.

Lamma Island is more for hiking while Cheung Chau has quite a few things to see, seafood also tasty.. for children who cant endure long hikes, Cheung Chau is the preferred option

Supposely it suits all ages.. Just stay 1-2 nights, it's enough. Meals, drinks, beaches, walking, hiking, village, they got everything.
