Stanley is very different to other parts of Hong Kong, or completely different from what you think about Hong Kong. Stanley, located at the southern of Hong Kong island, is much more relaxed with beaches, hills and coves. You will find the western atmosphere in this small Chinese town.

Many stalls with a wide range of products. Handbags were well priced with bonus items. Worth a visit. Look around the bay with many good eating sites.

Came here this afternoon. As a whole Stanley is nice. There is the market place where you can get stuff and then there is the walk filled with pubs/restaurants and some stalls leading to Stanley plaza. Personally I prefer the in between of the market...More

We took a trip down to Stanley to enjoy the waterside location. It's a great place to people watch and interesting to stroll through the markets.

We were told that taking the bus to Stanley had beautiful beach views and everyone was right! We easily took a bus from our hotel in Causeway Bay all the way to Stanley Plaza. Sit on the upper deck for the best views. The plaza...More

there are a lot of shops selling souvenir and clothing, I love the place behind those shops where I can sit and have a cup of coffee facing the beach

Take the bus and sit on top level on the right side for great views of Hong Kong Island. Good location away from the hustle and bustle of the city and with the best market in Hong Kong. Worth doing.

I haven't tried the junk boat over there. I know there was one around Tsim Sha Tsui but I am not sure it stopped servicing or not. I regard taking the boat in Tai O is much more fun in my mind.
