A little history at Stanley, so do pop over to have a look at the facade and admire the old British architecture. There are shop and eateries in the building so you can plan to have a meal there too.

Located at one end of the Stanley Plaza on the way to the Blake Pier, Stanley house is an old colonial era building which has been restored and re-purposed into a shopping mall. The house is well preserved and its location on the sea-front gives it a a unique charm difficult to find elsewhere in Hong Kong. It was originally... More

This is one of the most impressive buildings on the waterfront in Kowloon. It is a very large an impressive colonial palace which has been converted into posh shops but there are some very pleasant gardens plus the recreated mechanism to drop a time ball for ships to indicate 1pm daily for them to set their chronometers (like in Greenwich... Now what's left of murray house is a flagship clothing company and restaurant. It is right next to the murray pier. It was a 160-year-old restored three-storey colonial building that was dismantled in 1982 and transplanted from its original site in Central to be rebuilt on the Stanley waterfront. Now it has lost its glory. Quite a quiet place with... More

A beautiful building moved from Central brick by brick and painstakingly reassembled to become a restaurant and shopping complex. Lots of history and myths or non-myths if you choose to believe. Used by the Japanese during the war hence said to be very haunted, even after the move.

Lovely building. Take the stairs to the upper level to see the interior ceiling. Unfortunate to see a high street store taking over half the building.

Stanley Murray House located near the coast. Stanley plaza get connected to Murray House making this spot a good walking sight visit along the Stanley main street and coastline. Lots of tourists and local people enjoy dining in this area.

Murray House is in Stanley which is on the south side of Hong Kong Island. See my review on "Stanley" for complete and detailed directions on how to get there. It is worth it, and I recommend it just for the bus ride. At Stanley, one of the things you can see is Murray House. It is not a spectacular... More

The building itself looks interesting and as mentioned by other reviewers, Murray House was initially in Central and they have "moved" it to Stanley. There is nothing much to see though but restaurants only?! It was nice to see people walking their dogs in Stanley.. Anyways, the location is good as you can easily visit all these attractions nearby Murray... More
