Public transport from city to Pak Tam Chung is nearly 2 hours - I should have started earlier. I took the MTR to Diamond Hill and then bus no.92 to Sai Kung town. At Sai Kung town I stocked up on water and snacks before taking the bus 94 to Pak Tam Chung. At the Pak Tam Chung Visitor Centre,... More

Did a lovely 16km solo trek from Pak Tam Chung bus stop to Sai Wan Pavillion on 3rd Jan. This is actually part of the 100km MacLehose Trail. It covers Section 1 and part of Section 2 of the famour MacLehose Trail. The whole area of this trail is gazetted as the Hong Kong Unesco Geo-park. Some tips if you... More

Sai Kung is a great place for seafood and from this village, you can take a taxi to visit the Geopark at the High Island Reservoir (East Dam) or do some hiking around the Sai kung East Country Park. Spend a day to discover nature, take pictures for memories and do a lot of walking and get healthy.

I went here with my school on a residential trip and I was really impressed by the tranquility and beauty of somewhere that is less than half an hour's drive from the most densely populated district of the world's most densely populated city. Trekking to the top of any of the low peaks gives a wonderful view over the small... More

Walking in Sai Kung East is lovely and delicious. The scenery is beautiful and the hike is not that complicated. Make sure to bring water. You manage at the end to take a well deserved bath on Ham Tin beach. It is beautiful and very relaxing. Enjoy the ride back by boat to Sai Kung

I have to start off by saying that this was the last tour of a 6 week South East Asia adventure for me and I wasn't expecting much. some scenery and a hike. What I got was epically the best tour and adventure I could have had! Gabi, the best tour guide out there, really is amazing! The day we... More

I visited this area as part of a guided hike with company Walk Hong Kong. To get the negatives out of the way first, there was a bit of litter to be seen on certain areas of the trails unfortunately, I think due to the large groups that come here during the warmer months as part of school or club...
